Firearm Type: Handgun
Training Class
Classes & Training
This class begins with a breakdown of the three most common stoppages: failure to feed, failure to eject, and double-feed. Using clear-chamber trainers, we show how to diagnose each issue by feel and visual cues, even in low-light environments. Students memorize a streamlined tap-rack-assess sequence, then layer in slide-lock and bolt-lock variations for rifles.
We also address gear-related causes—weak magazines, over-lubrication, and ammo incompatibility—so you can prevent malfunctions before they happen. Stress-management tips round out the classroom block, priming you for rapid decision-making on the range.
Live-fire exercises start with inert rounds randomly mixed into magazines to create surprise malfunctions that demand immediate action. After students demonstrate consistent clears at arm’s length, we introduce timed barricade drills and movement to simulate real-world pressure. An audible timer forces quick assessments while maintaining muzzle discipline, and instructors score both speed and safety. You’ll finish the course able to identify and remedy the most critical stoppages in under three seconds, even when your heart rate is elevated.
Classes are non-refundable, however may be transferred to a different date if contacted PRIOR to 72 hours of course.
Students rescheduling classes within 72 hour window will forfeit 50% of registration fee.
